Of the 100,000 bottles produced each year by the Margalleau estate, some can be found on tables on five continents and in the glasses of many a sommelier.

Guide Hachette 2025

Méthode traditionnelle Brut

Demi-sec 2022

“Three ‘coups de cœur’ in three years for the domaine, which has produced a top-flight demi-sec. The jury fell under the spell of this pale Chenin, which is terribly seductive on the nose, with its scents of acacia honey, quince and white fruit, lightly sprinkled with truffle. The palate is just as seductive: languorous, tactile, bursting with fruit, with a freshness that perfectly digests the 25g/l of residual sugar. Simply perfect, with good ageing potential, but already delicious.”

Sec 2021

Méthode Traditionnelle Cuvée Privilège 2015

“Here’s a sincere cuvée from clay-limestone and clay-silica soils, which the chenin, led by careful vinification, renders with elegance. Fine bubbles rise languidly along the sides of the glass. The frankness of the aromas (yellow fruit, acacia flower, discreet honey) is beautifully echoed in a welcoming yet invigorating and airy palate, which leaves a singular sensation of elegance and amplitude. The “coup de cœur” is a unanimous “coup de chapeau”.

Sec 2020

Soft 2020

“50-year-old vines and a tailor-made harvest have given birth to this great, soft, golden Vouvray, with an open, candied yet fresh nose that evokes quince, peach and pastry. On the palate, fatness and richness are masterfully balanced by an acidity that gives brightness to flavors of insolent greed. Rich and irresistible now, it also has great cellaring potential. A flawless wine for this exceptional mellow wine”.
